Disney = God's Gift to Man

When I was reading the Bottle Caps story, the main character reminded me of myself.  When I was a child, I would collect anything and everything, but my biggest collection by far was my Disney videos.  Ever since I was little, I have been in love with anything made by Walt Disney.  It is safe to say that I own almost every Disney movie known to man -- with the exception of four.
I remember when I was little, I had to watch Cinderella AT LEAST three times a day.  It was crazy!  Even now as a teenager, I still have to watch my nightly movie!  It was Sleeping Beauty last night by the way...it's okay, I know I'm just a little obsessed.
It amazes me how a little thing that your parents introduced you to when you were small can stick with you your whole life.  I can honestly say that without my parents, I would have never gotten into Disney movies like I have.  So thank you Mom and Dad, thank you!

  1. Haha, this is cute! XD What a great collection too! What are the four movies you don't own? And do you have a favorite Disney movie or character?

  2. Yes, unfortunately I don't own Song of the South, The Brave Little Toaster, Sword in the Stone, or The Three Callaberos, but I suppose I could rent them from the library!
I would have to say that Pocahontas, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, and the Hunchback of Notre Dame are all tied...I should probably add Peter Pan to that list too. This is too tough, I can't choose a favorite movie!
Characters...I love them all equally, hands down! (: Except maybe Maleficent, she's kind of crabby.
Do you have any favorite Disney movies or characters?

  3. I LOVE this post. I am also a disney fanatic (but from reading this post, I know now not as much as you are :) haha I do believe that the Disney movies do have important messages for kids and also are just enjoyable to watch. This post is making me really want to watch a disney movie tonight, so thank you very much for the inspiration. :)

  4. ahhaa, Halle you make me laugh.

I commented on Amanda's blog about her Childhood memories and you mentioned Disney Movies and then I came here to find out your obsessed(:

But I'm with you in the fact that I have 4 cabinents FULL of disney movies and I'd still guess that I'm 20 or so movies short. It's crazy you're only missing 4.

Also, when I was little I LOVED the movie Cinderella. Although I didn't quite watch it 3 times a day(:

  5. That's so cool! Apparently I used to watch 101 Dalmations every day, too! Isn't it funny how people who've never seen them will say they're lame or cliche or whatever, but people who remember them can go back and still be so comforted by the old time Disney movies?

Have you ever taken on of those "What Disney Princess Are You?" quizzes? Which one would you be?

Just as a pointer, I might elaborate on your collection a little more--do you have some examples of items you collected?

  6. Oh Mary, Mary, Mary...the movies aren't even the half of it! lol (: I pretty much have everything from lithographs to pins, and I've been to Disney World seven times...to be honest, I'm starting to get a little embarrassed about this whole thing!
